Digital entertainment is taking a very important role in our life by refreshing our mind and activating our creativity. By the recent advancement of computers and networks new types of entertainment have emerged, such as video games, entertainment robots, and network games. This symposium is designed to provide a forum to the researchers, educators, and practitioners in this field to share their opinions. The symposium aims to identify presentations on Key research issues, review the current state-of-the-art developments, and outline future directions. This, embedded with the current research being undertaken in industry and academia, will provide coverage of the salient aspects and sub-areas of digital entertainment within the field of visualisation, intelligent control, and network technology and beyond.
