VDSML – Visualisation in Data Science and Machine Learning

2nd International Symposium Visualisation in Data Science and Machine Learning

Information Visualization is crucial in both data science and machine learning, since it can simplify the analysis of massive datasets and of the outcomes of complex analytic processes. Papers presenting original ideas on the application of novel Information Visualization techniques to the phases of data science or machine learning processes are sought.

The conference proceedings will be made available to delegates, and presenters are encouraged to provide whatever supplementary materials which they feel might be of interest to peers, beyond that already in their paper. For example, delegates might wish to provide additional images or movie files.

These papers may present work in progress including results or advanced project with case studies. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to) the following aspects:

  • Visual exploration of datasets
  • Visualization of data correlations
  • Visualization and exploration of patterns
  • Visual data mining and visual knowledge discovery
  • Visual inspection of classification and regression tasks
  • Visualization of learning models
  • Visualization techniques for data profiles
  • Visualization in big spatial data analytics
  • IV for IoT analytics
  • User evaluation of IV techniques for data science and machine learning
