At the same time, visualisation has evolved from a representational technique into an epistemic practice \u2014 a way of thinking, modelling, and constructing meaning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DHKV \u2013 Digital Humanities &amp; Knowledge Visualisation<\/strong> examines the theoretical, methodological, and critical intersections between humanities inquiry and visual knowledge systems.<\/p>\n<p>This symposium positions visualisation not merely as a communication layer, but as a form of epistemology:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How does visual form structure interpretation?<\/li>\n<li>How do diagrams, networks, maps, and timelines encode assumptions about causality, scale, and agency?<\/li>\n<li>How does AI reshape the production and authority of humanities knowledge?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DHKV invites contributions that critically interrogate how knowledge is constructed, visualised, and legitimised in digital environments; and is interested in research and practice, and Theoretical Foci that include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Visualisation as Epistemic Infrastructure<\/strong><br \/>\nExploring visualisation as a cognitive and interpretive framework in humanities research \u2014 from knowledge graphs to cultural analytics.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Algorithmic Mediation &amp; AI in the Humanities<\/strong><br \/>\nGenerative AI, large language models, machine vision, and computational text analysis as emerging co-authors of interpretation. Questions of explainability, transparency, and epistemic accountability are central.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Narrative, Power &amp; Representation<\/strong><br \/>\nHow visual systems shape historical memory, religious interpretation, political imaginaries, and cultural identity.
