3rd Symposium on AI-Empowered Visual Computing
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has been sparking a revolution in computer vision and computer graphics, enabling computers to tremendously improve the quality and realism of multimedia artifacts, such as images, videos, and 3D content, offering increasingly better representation and understanding of the world. This symposium facilitates effective communication between researchers, educators, and practitioners globally and pushes state-of-the-art at the intersection of computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning; it calls for original research under the theme of AI with Visual Computing. The authors are encouraged to present novel theoretical and algorithmic solutions and state-of-the-art reports addressing problems across visual computing and related applications.
Submissions are invited in the following topics (but are not limited to):
- Content-aware 3D environment understanding
- Large scene 3D reconstruction from point cloud
- Multi-modality 3D object detection
- Motion and tracking
- Deep learning for crowd behaviour detection
- Sketch-based retrieval, modelling and synthesis
- Style transfer for character animation
- AI-driven digital double modeling and animation
- Audio or speech-driven character animation
- Facial performance capture, tracking, synthesis, and retargeting
- Virtual production techniques including lighting, camera tracking and real-time rendering
- Image and video annotation
- Style transfer for digital media (image, video, audio, music)
- Emotion detection for human-computer interaction
- Chatbot for a social companion
- Spoken language processing
- Common sense for conversation generation
- Narrative driven storytelling
- Detection of AI-generated content, such as fake news, fake face and animation
