A number of invited speakers and tutorial sessions will review current state-of-the-art developments and outline future directions. This embedded with the current research and application undertaken in industry and academia, will provide coverage of the salient aspects and sub-areas of visualisation and graphics. Such work will be presented in a series of symposia. One of which is the “Applications of Information Visualization” symposium.
Papers presenting original research on the application of Information Visualization to solve real-world problems and broaden research expertise are sought. These papers may present work in progress, including results or advanced projects with case studies. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to) the following aspects:
- IV techniques and methodologies used in Practice;
- User Evaluation of IV techniques and methodologies;
- The role of IV research in problem-solving, data analysis, searching, Information representation, interpretation, diagnostics, and decision-making;
- Practical case studies in areas such as Business, Marketing, Design, Medicine, Architecture, Technology, Communications, and Art.
