ARVA – Augmented Reality Visualization and Art

13th International Symposium  Augmented Reality Visualization and Art

Augmented Reality (AR) is a recent technology that allows the user to display real-time information and digital objects on top of the real world. This provides a new way of bringing computer-generated visualization into the world we live in, a new form of art, and a novel paradigm in the use of computers in presenting digital content and combining the real and virtual worlds.

The symposium seeks original research papers that deal with, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • Information Visualization Using Augmented Reality Technologies
  • Visualization Techniques for Augmented Reality
  • Augmented Reality in Scientific Visualization
  • AR-based Navigation and Information Systems
  • Location-based and Recognition-based Augmented Reality
  • Visual Aspects of Augmented Reality Games
  • Augmenting Reality Visualization for Medicine, Architecture, Design, Marketing, Advertising, Training and Other Areas
  • Augmented Reality as a New Artistic Medium
  • Augmented Reality Art
  • Augmented Reality Painting and Sculpture
  • The Possibilities of AR in Art Making
  • Perceptual Issues in Augmented Reality
  • Creative Issues of Integrating AR Objects with Real-World Environments
  • Artistic Issues in Combining Augmented, Virtual, and Real Realities
  • Augmented Reality in Large and Complex Environments
  • Collaborative AR Environments
