BiWA – Big data Visualization and Visual Analytics

2nd International Symposium on Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics

Following emerging research trends, the Symposium on Big Data Visualization and Analytics focuses the attention on models, techniques, algorithms, and methodologies for supporting big data visualization and visual analytics in a wide range of applicative settings ranging from social networks to sensor networks, from medical and e-health information systems to emergency management systems, from smart city tools to intelligent transportation systems, and so forth. Last but not least, big data visualization and visual analytics have a relevant impact on industrial applications as well, ranging from industrial plant management systems to supply-chain management systems and so forth. These paradigms are implemented via a plethora of approaches, ranging from data management algorithms to data mining algorithms, from machine learning algorithms to artificial intelligence algorithms, and so forth.

The BiWA 2022 symposium focuses on all the research aspects of big data visualization and visual analytics. Among these, an unrestricted list is the following one:

  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Fundamentals
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Modelling
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Statistical Approaches
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Novel Paradigms
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Innovative Techniques and Algorithms
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Innovative Architectures (GPU, Clouds, Clusters)
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Non-Conventional Big Data Settings (e.g., Spatio-Temporal Big Data, Streaming Big Data, Graph Big Data, Cloud Big Data, Probabilistic Big Data, Uncertain Big Data)
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Systems and Architectures
  • Big Data Visualization and Visual Analytics: Advanced Topics (e.g., Dimensionality Reduction, Matrix Approximation Algorithms, Multi-Task Learning, Semi-Supervised Learning, Integration with NoSQL Databases)
